ABOUT
BENEDICT JASMIN

Benedict completed his Master’s degree in Piano Performance with Pedagogy at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark in June 2019. He studied solo piano performance under the tutelage of renowned Danish concert pianist Jens Elvekjær and lied accompaniment with Nina Gade.

From 2014-17, Benedict was a student and a teaching assistant of Berlin-based concert pianist Prof. Abelardo Galang II, who introduced him to the German tradition of piano playing and pedagogy.

Benedict finished his Bachelor studies at the University of the Philippines College of Music under the tutelage of Prof. Augusto Espino, graduating magna cum laude honors in 2014. He made his orchestra debut during his graduation recital where he performed Khachaturian’s Piano Concerto with the Manila Symphony Orchestra.

Benedict has actively performed as a soloist and as a lied accompanist in Manila and in Copenhagen. He has also participated in master classes conducted by world-renowned pianists including Reynaldo Reyes, Albert Tiu, Rolf-Dieter Arens, Boris Berman and Alexander Rößler.

As a Steinway Education Partner, Benedict aims to provide his students a supportive learning environment where they can develop to the highest standards possible. He also devotes himself in teaching his students technical and musical skills that would help them become competent and well-rounded pianists.
